STAFFORD MP TELL’S SSC LASER “YOU CUT IT”.

Jeremy Lefroy, the newly re-elected Conservative MP for Stafford labelled SSC Laser as “A very important employer for the Stafford area”. On his recent visit to the Hixon factory who specialise in cutting a variety of different metals with laser beams, Mr Lefroy saw first-hand the massive investment the company has made over the past few months.

C.E.O, Austin Jarrett and Managing Director, Andy Evans were keen to show the MP the new Adige LT8.10 Tube Laser and an Automated Bystronic ByStar 10KW Fiber Laser. They explained that this £2m of investment has already improved productivity and has seen the company report month on month growth during 2017. The company, who have been trading since the year 2000 is set to record its best year ever with sales set to exceed £13m.

Further growth is planned with sales set to reach £17m by the end of 2018. Andy Evans said, “This aggressive growth calls for a big recruitment drive, over the next few months we will be employing people across all divisions in our Sales, Production and CAD departments”.

Mr Lefroy said “I’ve visited SSC Laser Cutting a number of times over the years and it’s fantastic to see that their strategy of continually investing in the latest laser technology and the recruiting of talented, hardworking employees is helping them to become one of the largest and most successful Laser Cutting company’s in the UK”.

SSC’s Hixon Headquarters employ 50 staff with a factory in Derby employing 20 employees and a factory in Bristol with 25 employees. In addition to the three factories they have sales offices in Scotland, the South East and South Central, with imminent expansion in to the North East and North West of England.
